Move-Out Date & Time
Your official move-out date is July 31, 2026, at 12:00 PM EST. While you’re welcome to move out earlier if needed, please note that your lease obligations remain in effect through the end of the lease term, including rent. Per your lease agreement, all residents must vacate their apartments no later than 12:00 PM on July 31st. Late move-outs cannot be accommodated, and remaining in the unit beyond this deadline will result in holdover status as defined under Michigan law. Moving out early does not exempt you from your lease responsibilities. If you have any questions or need assistance as you prepare to move, our team is here to support you.
What to Turn In
Please be prepared to turn in the items below during the move-out. It’s important you turn these into a Courtyards Office Team Member to ensure we have received them. Fees apply for missing items: -Resident Key Fob ($50) -Resident Room Key ($25) -Resident Mailbox Key ($25) -Garage Access Card ($50) *prices are subject to change
Your Last Installment
July 1st will be your last rent installment with The Courtyards. You will also notice you have two (2) months of electricity on your July statement as well. This is because your electricity charges begin one (1) month after move-in, and therefore your billing cycle has been one (1) month behind. To further explain, your first electricity bill will be in September, paying for August (prorated according to your move-in date). This means in July, you will be charged for June and July. Please note, if you move out sooner than your lease end date, electricity will continue throughout the lease period. Your Final Account Statement will be emailed to you in the coming weeks after your lease end date. This will include any move-out charges (you hopefully avoided!) or will show you owe $0 (Great job!!).
Saying Goodbye
As your time here comes to an end, we want to take a moment to thank you — not just for being a resident, but for being part of our community. Whether this was your first home away from home or just one chapter in your journey, we hope you take with you great memories, lasting friendships, and a sense of growth.
